Housing with pets is just more difficult. With certain breeds or weights, the agency is just going to push you to find your own housing. Which is often what pet owners have to do anyway. Two dogs means even less housing availability. Pets are great with their unconditional love (mostly), but traveling with them is a hassle. One option you might consider after taking an assignment or two to see if you really like it, is to get an RV. RV parks are universally pet friendly and the lifestyle, while not less expensive, has other benefits like not packing and unpacking every three months. Your dogs may find the consistent housing less stressful as well.

I am looking to travel and take my pups with me. This will be my first time traveling. I spoke with a recruiter from Cross Country that a long time traveler on my unit recommended and while she was very nice and not pushy...I feel that she wasn't very open to the idea of bringing pets. She says there is often a weight limit (50lbs) for the housing. I have a Pug and a pudgy Golden that weighs almost 70lbs.
I know there is no perfect company, but does anyone know of any pet friendly companies that I could look into?
Thanks!
