I have been a traveling nurse for a year now. I just got done going through two great recruiters due to them quiting the company after 10+ years of being with company. I am taking any suggestions for great recruiters people have had and companies they have been with!

Thanks :)

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Moved to the Travel Nursing forum we do however ask that specific names are not mentioned,

Thanks

The thing is, one traveler's great recruiter is another traveler's stressor so it is difficult to make a valid recommendation even if we were allowed to name names here - PM is allowed though.

While there are a variety of skills that a good recruiter brings to the table, the most important one is the ability to communicate. If you cannot talk to your recruiter, you got nothing, even with a great agency. Superstar recruiters (and good salespersons in general) can adapt to more diverse personalities and communication styles than more average recruiters. But an average recruiter you have a rappor with is good enough. And will probably have more time for you.

The way to find out who works for you takes some time. Call 15 and pick the best 5 to work further with. If you do get referrals, put them on the list with the others and evaluate the same way. There is no better method, otherwise we would all work with the same recruiter!
