Hair color in travel nursing

So I have recently started my first travel nursing job and the hospital I am at has no mention in their dresscode about all natural hair color. I want to add some subtle purple highlights in my dark hair and was wondering how this works with travel nursing as I will be moving on to another hospital in 2 months. Has anyone ran into this before?

I would ask the nurse manager there if that hair color is acceptable. Because you are still working for that hospital. You don't want us to tell you, yeah sure purple is cool/they won't be able to tell. Then you go, dye your hair, it's unacceptable to that hospital, they report you to your agency & the agency pulls you or what have you. We can't tell you yes or no, you have to & should go directly to the hospital.

It is impossible to say what your next hospital might say, heck, you don't even know which one it is yet! Considering most hospitals appear to be OK with visible piercings and tattoos on nurses these days, it is difficult to imagine that hair coloring, especially subtle as you describe it, would pass over a professional threshold. In any case, seems like it would be easy to undo the color changes.

For your current assignment, no harm in checking in with your manager, or at least some coworkers.
