I'm on my first assignment at UTMB in Galveston and love the hospital it's very traveler friendly. The only down side is you have to go toward Houston at least 30 min to do any good shopping or anything. I have heard from nurses here that I would not want to work anywhere in Houston, but don't have first hand experience. I would recommend UTMB they also do not do PBDS testing here which is a major plus.

So I have recently started my first travel nursing job and the hospital I am at has no mention in their dresscode about all natural hair color. I want to add some subtle purple highlights in my dark hair and was wondering how this works with travel nursing as I will be moving on to another hospital in 2 months. Has anyone ran into this before?

I'm on my first assignment and no that is not how it should work. My advice is to continue to ask questions to the agencies you've chosen and make sure to ask that they will not send your packet out to hospitals without you knowing. You want to make sure of this because you don't want to send your packet to the same job with two different companies.
