Extra pay if you don't need health insurance?

Hi all.

I'm likely to be getting back out there in the travel world after 3 years at a perm position and have a quick question. Last time I travelled I needed health insurance so this wasn't an issue. I will be on my husband's insurance, and therefore will not need insurance through the travel company. Will this enable me to ask for another dollar or two in pay?

Any excuse to ask for more money! Ask if you can have an insurance stipend tax free with proof of insurance.

Smaller agencies may not provide insurance so it won't work on them.

Which for some annoying reason is quite a bit less then the insurance they will provide for free.
