I am a traveler going to Banner thunderbird Jan 9th start date, I am excited. anybody else going? Know anything to do in Glendale? Let me know.

i took a travel jopb in Yuma,Az and went back for 3 winters. Loved it! The best way to go to Mexico is to go down to Yuma and cross the river and park in the Quechon Indians parking lot and walk across the bridge into Algodones. They cater to the white hairs like me. the prices are much cheaper here than in other border towns, and you don't have to worry about insurance for your car, since you are not driving. The Mexicans here are very friendly-once I had a street vendor trying to sell me some jewelry and a Mexican girl stopped me and said "Don't believe him, those stones are not real. I know,I work in a jewelry store!" We also enjoyed going to the museums-the Sonora Desert Museum for One. There is an Indian Museum in Phoenix you shouldn't miss as well as Cactus Gardens. In Yuma, the sun always shines in the winter,it seems. There are also the date farms just over the border in California. And the flea markets in Quartzite. I believe that Arizona has more National Monuments and National Parks than any other state. Take your tiem on the trip out and coming back, you have to see the Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forest. As for friends, you will find that many of the other nurses that you will be working with will be travelers, also,at leas tin the winter. Good Luck and have fun.

Thanks, I have printed out your post and will keep it handy for the summer.

I am a us soldier trying to reach a nurse at Banner Thunderbrird currently in Iraq. I have been recieving packages from her while deployed and I really want to say "Thank you Banner Thunderbird for all the really great stuff you have sent me and my soldiers deployed here".

I would appreciate anyone who knows the nice lady that has sent this to me to let her know and possibly have her or her staff contact me on the above email.

Thank you all so much.
