Agencies? Which one to choose?

Hi! I am considering seriously going back to travel nursing. When I did it before I was with American Mobile Healthcare, and never had any problems. I am looking into other companies out there, and have been impressed by Medical Solutions out of Nebraska, and Travel Nurse Across America. Both were at the top on Travel Nursing Central for best companies to travel with in 2013. What are your thoughts? Anyone ever worked with either of these companies? Any help would be great!

Hi LadyTiger! I'm not sure which states you are thinking of traveling in?

I live in the South and am on my first travel assignment with Supplemental Health Care and am having a great experience. They have tons of assignments in NC, SC, TN and VA. My pay is $1250/wk. take home.

When I decide to travel out west, I think I will go with Medical Solutions. I have been talking to a recruiter from there, and have been really impressed with their communication, candidness and overall niceness. I know they have a lot of assignments out west and seem like a good company for that area of the country.

AMN is the big agency sometimes it will feel like you are just a number to them because they are a big company with lots of overhead costs. a smaller agency might appreiciate you more and pay more. i havent heard of any of the other agencies, keep doing your research and speak to as many as you can. pick the recruiters that you feel comfortable with. good luck.
