Any UTHealth Spring 2016 or UTMB Fall 2016 NP program hopefuls out there? I realize it's a little early but I wanted to start a thread so that maybe we can start networking!

I've been a nurse for over 4 years with a background in progressive care/ER and becoming an NP has always been my dream. I have finally decided that I want to go back to school and this is a good time to do so. I want to become an FNP since I have such a passion for health promotion/maintenance and helping to keep patients OUT of the hospital!

I'm at UTMB now getting Master's in Nurse Education. Will graduate in December and then going to TWU for post- Master's FNP SPRING 2016. I'm excited!

I was just looking into MSN programs and it seems like UT Health does not have a Spring MSN program. Only summer and Fall starts.

Yeah that's what it looks like! I have a campus tour coming up so I will be clarifying that with them. What kind of MSN programs are you looking into?

Hello! I am so glad to find a UTHealth FNP thread for Spring 2016. I recently just applied, but was emailed that my admission status has been updated. When I logged into myUTH webpage, they asked if I would accept or decline admission and had to pay $200. Did anyone else have to do that?

Thanks!

AmichelleRN, once you accept , you pay $200 but that money will go toward tuition once you register for classes. I applied for the summer 2016 post- Masters program.

Got accepted to TWU for spring 2016 but think I prefer UT

Hi everyone,

I applied for the summer session and received my acceptance email yesterday! Does anyone know when the summer session begins?

Good Luck to everyone that applied!

I believe it starts May 19th.

Hey everyone just got accepted into the fall 2016 program. Very excited and ready to start. Just wondering who else got accepted so we can get to know who all we will be working with.

Addmission? I got my acceptance letter last week and paid the $200. I will be in AGPCNP fall 2016.
