UT Arlington Nursing Program Book List 2012

  1. Hi all,

For those of you who are in the UTA Nursing Program, can you tell me which books from this list you mostly used and which ones you didn't use?

Money is definitely tight right now and I would like to just rent the books that most people actually used instead of ordering all of the books in this list and end up not using some of them.

    Holistic Health Assessment
Jarvis, C (2012). Physical examination and health assessment w/nursing video skills package. 6th ed.
Jarvis, C (2012). Health Assessment Online for Physical Examination and Health Assessment, Version 2. 6th ed.
Jarvis, C (2012). Pocket Companion for Physical Examination and Health Assessment. 6th ed.
Hogan, M and Ricci, M (2011). Health and physical assessment reviews and rationales. Pearson.

Health Promotion and Illness Prevention Across Lifespan
Edelman, Lynn and Mandle (2012). Health promotion throughout the lifespan. 7th ed.

    Clinical Nursing Foundations
Potter and Perry (2013). Nursing Skills online for fundamentals of nursing. 8th ed. Elsevier.
Skidmore-Roth (2013). Mosbys nursing drug reference. 26th ed. Mosby.
Ackley and Ladwig (2011). Nursing diagnosis handbook. 9th ed. Mosby
Potter and Perry (2010). Clinical nursing skills and techniques. 7th ed. Elsevier.
Curren (2009). Math for meds: dosages and solutions. 10th ed. Delmar.

    Thank you all very much!

I have been searching for the same information that you asked about!! I start in January and was just wondering if you finally got an answer or from your own experience which books are most needed. Also did you end up buying the bundle or books individually?
