Just wondering if anyone else is applying for the Fall 2013 semester at Texas State in Round Rock, and/or has any detailed info as far as their selection process goes? I don't see many threads on Tx State here AT ALL, but I know there's gotta be at least few other applicants on here somewhere! Anyway, I've heard that they use some sort of point system but not sure how the different admission criteria are weighted or what the selection process entails. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty sure I've been obsessively checking my email like every 10 minutes since I saw someone post that it would be by 5 today. Good luck everyone!

Just received my email! It was in my personal email account. :geek: Congratulations everyone!

Decisions are supposed to be made by April 5th for anyone who didn't get an email. I have been accepted to UTHSC Houston as well though, so I may decline my spot...just not sure as of the moment. Don't give up hope yet!

Congrats to all those who received good news!! Hopefully we'll be classmates in the fall!! For all those who didn't get the news they hoped for, I am truly sorry. My heart goes out to you, as I can imagine how you must feel right now. Try not to lose faith though. I am sure there are some that will decline their offers for one reason or another, and some spots will open up. Best of luck to all of you!

Hi, all! I have been watching this thread pretty closely the past week as well! I received my acceptance letter today - so exciting! Congrats to everyone for all of their hard work!

Can we talk immunizations for a second! Does anyone know how we are supposed to get full Hep B shots by July 12 when it takes 4-6 months? I know I'm probably jumping the gun here, but does anyone know if we just need to have them started or completed by July 12?

Definitely contact admissions just to verify this, but I believe they just need to be completed before we start clinicals...I've already had mine for a couple of years b/c my initial plan had been to go for my ADN and I had to have them for that program so I didn't really read that section very thoroughly last night on the checklist. I'll still need to get the meningitis vac and tb test though.

Okay so I guess they're due COMPLETED by July 12, so I was wrong. It seems like I remember reading recently about a new HEP B vac that was quicker than the 3 shot series though...maybe check with your healthcare provider about that.
