TWU - Houston - Fall 2012

Hi everyone. Not sure what happened to the last forum, but I'm hoping that someone will be able to see this and help me. I'm wondering when you guys applied, how far in advance did you send in your general application for the university? And how long did it take them to accept you since being accepted to the university is a condition of even being able to apply to the nursing application. The deadline is approaching and I'm wondering what my chances are. Thanks everyone!

I sent in my general application in Aug/Sep and it took about two-three weeks for my acceptance letter. I didn't know it at the time but I could have checked online at my status so it might have been shorter than 2-3 weeks! I hope this helps! Good luck!

They seem to process things pretty quickly! I am waiting on ONE stinking transcript to show up, it was ordered before the holiday break and it was only sent out like the 4th or something like that! UGH!!! I am hoping that my Teas scores show up fairly quickly. I only took it yesterday, there were some family issues that caused me to reschedule! I have a friend who is starting the program in the next week, she is so excited! I am hoping that I get in to TWU so she can help me along the way! :) Good Luck!

My TEAS scores showed like 24 hours after I took it so you'll be alright Amymit :)

I'm having the same issues with my transcript. I don't know if my college is not sending it or if TWU is not processing it. (BTW, I'm applying to Dallas :) but our threat is not very active LOL )

I FINALLY got my TEAS scores! Not as high as I had hoped for but better than many scores that I have seen posted and more importantly they meet the requirements for UTMB and TWU! Now to breathe until March! I have applied to 4 schools and I am ready to make some decisions about where I want to attend (thinking positively)! Good luck to everyone! :)

Yes, I am going to the open house in Houston! I am curious as to what everyone made on the TEAS.. I just received my scores. My overall was an 83.3% and my GPA is a 3.82...I am wondering where I stand? I am having the same issue with the transcript as well..still do not see it in my Pioneer Portal.

Scrubb,Great job on the TEAS! I thought it was a really tough test. I got an 84.7 and my pre req gpa is a 3.885 science is 4.0. As for the transcripts I talked to them today and they said it may take a couple of weeks before they show up in the portal account. I hope this helps!
