TWU Fast Track Program

U.S.A. Texas

Anyone know anything about the TWU 15 month program for people with bachelors degrees to get a BSN? I'm in the midst of getting an appointment with an advisor, but I wondered if any of you have any idea of their acceptance rate. My grades are pretty good. All A's except for my C in Chemistry. (HATE Chemistry!) Any insight would be helpful!

The email said we would know our status by the end of Feb, so that leaves about 8 more days!

Does anyone know how we will find out? I'm guessing a letter in the mail but I'm checking the TWU email daily just in case.

When I found out, it was via snail mail. They didn't update anything on the computer (pioneer portal) until the day of orientation.

I know for my semester, they told us the end of February, then sent us a letter saying it may be later. I think they enjoy making us suffer while we anxiously wait

Oh well, best of luck!!

Does anyone know how TWU ranks each applicant for admission? Their website says it is based solely on the NET and GPA, but I'm wondering how much weight they give to the each. For instance, is there a magical formula that looks at GPA(.75) + NET(.25) or something like that? I'm guessing a formula is the only objective way to do it. Also, what NET sections do they look at? Math and Reading? Reading and Science?

I was notified by email today that I am accepted at TWU Houston for the fall 2008 program. Hooray! But I'm 90% sure I'll accept the offer from UTHSC bacc2 program. Anyway, if you are waiting on an answer for Fall 2008 check your email and mailboxes! I also got the acceptance packet in the mail today.

that's great news. congratulations, and good luck.

I got a call today that I have been accepted into the accelerated program for TWU! I was shocked! I was originally denied and accepted for the 2 yr program but I was told a spot opened up in fast track.

Meanwhile, I accepted an offer from UTHSC accelerated program, so now the decision between TWU vs. UTHSC. (I know, such a terrible problem to have right?)
