Hello, I am taking the TEAS V this Thursday and sooo nervous. I am taking the second practice test from the study guide tomorrow and trying not to worry too much... Anyone else applying to TWU-Dallas for Fall 2012?

880 applicants?? That is freaking impressive. Nursing jobs will be saturated soon!! Lol.*Well, I apply for the Fall 2012, too. I did poorly on Teas, only scored 74. But I have 3.8 cul GPA and 4.0 prerequisites. All As for first 4 attempts thing. Don't even know if that counts, since I am a transfer student from TCC.Bad bad bad... All bad... :(*Geniuses, why don't you apply somewhere else, or just go to medical schools??? Why compete with me? *sob*Anw, I thought we'd get the notification in early March?? That's what the nursing office told me.

I think you'll be fine! A's on your first attempt is weighted very heavily, and you have a great GPA. Early March?? I haven't heard that one :eek:

oh, 880 applicants are the total number combined of both campuses Houston and Dallas!! Just looking at this forum, it seems more people at Houston!! (Their topic already went to the page of 10). Lol. About the notification, I was confirmed by the nursing department that it will be announced in April... Sorry, my bad! Take all the time you need TWU!!! I'm very patient. Yeah I really am... You'd better let me in... :D

Just talked to Cheryl from the Denton campus. She said that of the 880, about 700 applications were actually legitimate & being considered. She said the Dallas campus (one I am trying for) will take 100-110 students. She also thinks we will have decision letters by late this month. Good luck everyone!

By the way, if you call the Nursing department at the Denton campus you will probably reach Cheryl. She is TOTALLY AWESOME. I have had to call her periodically over the last few months. She is happy to help, & has always been able to answer all my questions, despite no doubt being bombarded with calls all day.

I've been reading this forum and noticed this one was quiet, so I thought I'd add and help out! I applied to TWU Dallas for fall 2012 with a 3.87 GPA and a 90.7 on my TEAS. I have 3 out of the 4 first attempt A's. Got a B in A&P 1 and I'm worried that might be enough reason to be rejected :/ Is it true that most of the applicants accepted are those who attended TWU for their pre-reqs?

Why are you worried?! You have a great chance! Trust me, you're much more well off than I am. About your question, it's because those who take 32 hours (I believe?) at TWU prior to applying receive a .4 GPA bump if their GPA is 3.0 and above. That's what helps a lot of us (especially me hehe). Best of luck!
