Hello Guys!!I just wanted to create a new thread for the 2013 Texas tech BSN program! I will be applying this December (El Paso) campus. Is anyone else?

I am so excited and hopefully in the near future I can meet you all!

I am so nervous....but I am sure most of you all are feeling the same.

Does anyone know if the Intro to Nursing class online with Tech is full yet? I've been waiting on getting accepted since they just got my transcripts so I'm not sure if i'm even going to be able to register now... do you guys know if there's any open for summer 2 session?

whoa! so the acceptence to the school of nursing not enough? we have to apply to the university itself in order to enroll in that intro to nursing class? omg now i have to hurry n send my transcript. this is unbelieveable.

I just looked up the class schedule b/c I was pretty sure that both Intro to Nursing and Patho would be classes that covered both summer sessions as one class due to the length and volume of information for those classes (I just finished them). Both do cover the full summer making it a summer I and summer II class and not two different sessions. Hoping you are able to register for it, and if at 1st it is full, keep checking b/c that is what I had to do for the spring and openings became available!!

Yes, You do have to be accepted the TTU in order to take Intro to Nursing and Patho b/c TTU and TTUHSC, even though they are both TT schools, are still different schools.

Did anyone on here get accepted to the El Paso campus ? I unfortunately was not accepted I was devistated at first but have decided to attend a different school.

Good Luck to all starting nursing school in the Fall! I just finished my second semester in the Traditional BSN program. The second semester is supposed to be the hardest semester by far:) Tech is now offering OB and electives over the summer (this is great means I can take 13 hrs in the fall and spring of my Senior year). The journey is a difficult one-- just stay determined and keep your eye on the "prize." The Fall Semester schedule is not bad at all. You will have one day of SIM and one day of clinical starting late October/ early November I believe. We also finished health assessment and our communications class by October-- which really helps to lighten your class load! All of the incoming Juniors will have a mentor that's a Senior in the program. I just signed up to be one and I'm pretty excited! Let me know if ya'll have any questions.
