Questions about Seton Versant RN Residency in Austin

U.S.A. Texas

Published

I have just been accepted into the Seton RN residency and can answer any questions you may have. I will also be creating a post throughout my experience in the residency. Ask away!

@jerseygirl1248 I think it just makes me nervous that I had no clinicals at Seton so I don't really have any contacts. I plan on going to the open house so hopefully that will help!

I don't think that not having any clinicals at Seton will hurt you, just make sure if you get an interview that you talk a lot about the experiences you did have where ever you had clinicals. That's great that you are going to the open house, I unfortunately cannot make that but I have heard both good and bad things about going to the open house. From what I have heard, definitely bring copies of your resume and try to get in through the crowds of people that may be in the nurse managers' faces!

@tat_nurse, I think the last day to submit the application is November 19th so you definitely have plenty of time, but from what I understand the sooner you apply the better!

jerseygirl,

I finished my Part I last week and got an email from them that Part I is completed

hey Guys!

Can anyone tell me how long can I expect to stay at the Open House? I have scheduled to come there at 1 pm. Any telling what time I will be done?

Thanks!

Has anyone received any updates after you application was submitted? I just got an e-mail saying that once supporting documentation was received, I would get another e-mail for next steps. I believe all my docs are in but have not received a confirmation.

Do mean the application of Part I? or employment application?

I got approved for Part I, finished part II, now keeping my fingers crossed for an interview!

has anyone gotten interviews yet? Are they really taking that long? Or it 's just me out of luck?

I got the email that part one was done, and that I needed to apply to the positions I was interested in. I have done that, and am waiting to hear back about any interviews. I am from out of state also, so I can't go to the open house. All the positions I applied to say "Under review" under the status column on the site.

Mine say the same

I have applied as well and one status has changed to Interview. I was told to wait for the hiring manager to contact me now.

So I'm very late, and I'm VERY worried :barf02:

I recently just moved to Austin. I applied today, and received a confirmation email. Does anyone know how to check my application status on the website?
