I put my application in today. Does anyone have some insight into how many people apply and how many spots are available? I know it's very competitive ......what a dream opportunity though, it can't hurt to at least try

Courtney I also sent you a message on FB. My name is Jeff Castillo from Amarillo, TX. I'm looking at apartments in the uptown area since it's only like a 15 minute commute to the hospital like Bearkat said.

Don't live downtown...too pricey. I live up 65 (central expressway) in Allen and I work at Children's, right next door to Parkland. It takes me 30 minutes to and from. No biggie.

I lived in Allen for 18 years, it's a nice suburb but I'm ready for city life. My dad commuted from Allen to Downtown Dallas and had the commute from hell.

Does anyone know anything about the O.R. Residency? I applied a couple weeks ago but my status still shows "applied". Guess that is not a good sign. They still have the job posting up along with some other Residency positions. Just wanted to know if they were still interviewing and how many spots available
I don't know. I applied and never heard anything.

Huy Guys, I applied to the Nurse Resident Medical ICU position a week ago, no word from them yet...I dont have my RN-BSN yet, done with all Nursing course from UTA but have few pre-requisties remaining....I am a RN already, how much strict are they at parkland to hire only BSNs for Critical Care??
having a BSN was a requirement for the program this thread is referring to, i believe. with the amount of nurses applying to parkland, i imagine having a BSN really helps with getting hired. imagine if you have 50 applicants, and available 18 spots; you're going to check out your BSN applicants first. do you have critical care experience? i dont know if they hire ADNs in critical care, but maybe they do if you have direct critical care experience somewhere.
Thanks for the response Jenny, regarding the BSN as a filtration criteria, that I understand, and thats the reason i enrolled in RN-BSN at UTA, and am now only 4-5 prerequisites away from graduating. I do have Critical care experience back from 2008-09, not recent though
