Lone Star HESI question

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi there! I was hoping one of you would know the answer to this question.

I am not going to be applying to the ADN program at Lone Star until July (for Spring 2011 start) but I wanted to take the HESI during this period just in case I may need to try to improve my score. (fingers crossed that I won't though)

Apparently I missed the deadline to take the HESI for this ADN enrollment period BUT they still have it open for the LVN application period until May 15th. Will they still take my scores if I take it now or will that only count for the LVN program? Is the test different for either program or is it the same?

Thanks in advance!

Hey girl! How's your semester going? Are the notes helping at all?

It's my understanding that the reason that they have the deadline is so that the score sheet will update in time...mine took about five or six days to update. And they're taking scores from other schools now, too. Oh, and Moco opened theirs earlier than the rest, and those scores were acceptable. It updates to myrecords and the application picks it up from there, so you should still be okay if you want to take it. Don't you love allnurses...I found out so much more here than at the info session.

You'll do great and have one less thing to worry about!:D

spend a few hours at the library with the HESI study guide. I recommend taking the test now or this app period if you can, even if you already miss the app period. It will give you good practice and give you a feel for the test when you take it for real (if you don't have a good score or they don't accept it).
