Lone Star Fall 2012 ADN Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

I applied to Lone Star - ADN program Spring 2012. I was accepted as an alternate. I am hoping to get a call from the nursing department saying there is a spot for me. If not I will be reapplying for the next application period for entrance to the program in the Fall 2012. Good luck everyone!!!!

O man that is scary! At least now you know and can stop them before they really mess something up! Did they call you and tell you or did you call the school?

@ blondie12 that is horrible. i hope it isn't too bad and time consuming to resolve.

I've been researching facilities for the BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR class. I found one which states that they will come to you and only requires a minimum of four (4) students.

I'm awaiting cost and flexibility of scheduling, but was just curious if anyone would be interested in something like this?

Specializes in neonatal, oncology.

I would!!! Whats is the cost

I would too. My schedule is pretty flexible so just let me know.

Yeah I was pretty freaked out! But I spoke with both the IRS and SSA and my name is clear with both of them. If anyone is using my number, it doesn't seem to be for anything important.

I just called Research Info Group back and they said they were going to go ahead and clear it so I'm good there!

I had my fingerprinting done today..how long does the blue card usually take to come in?

After speaking with her, I decided to do the BLS for Healthcare Providers online through AHA and then have her do my skills check. The total cost is $52 ($22 for AHA Online and $30 for Skills Check) which is $7 more than what I've seen someone else post. However, after researching the options, most places are $55 and saw some up to $95. With my schedule and time constraints, I figured I'd go ahead and do it this way to make sure it was done. If you want additional information, Private Message me and I'll give you the details.

@Blondie12 - how long did the fingerprinting appointment take?

North Harris Nursing Students - Which orientation did you select?

@tlcarter99 - I did it at Sylvan Learning Center of Champions Dr (@ 1960) and the actual appointment took maybe 5 minutes and I waited for about 5 minutes while the receptionist took care of someone else. Probably the easiest most hassle-free thing I've done so far!

I chose june 6 since i will be in california may 17... Birthday, so im spending it at home:-) @tlcarter99....

Question: after getting fingerprints done, does a separate set have to be given for the declaratory order, or can the ones that are required for the program suffice?
