:tinkbll:anyone got accepted at lee college in baytown for the adn program fall 2011.....i did and i'm so excited.:yeah:...just wanted to know if there's any other an veiwers headed to lee.:nurse:

I wish I had the $$$$ for a BSN :(

hello guys:) i am back again! thanks tinknurse2b (all late) lol. i see everybody has been getting their supplies ready to go! i need to jump on it. have any of you guys checked out the new medical store inside the baytown sanjacinto mall?? i haven't yet... well anyways guys really hope to meet yall soon:) enjoy the rest of the summer!!

:tinkbll:where have you been....off somewhere enjoying the summer....i know how that is got my summer vac in early....so now i'm just at home trying to prepare for this upcoming adventure. :nurse: i dedicded to try to come online daily and post here since there's not many people around going to lee that is part of an...so i guess it's just us guys....anybody taking the morining classes....what is you guys schedule...i got all mornings classes starting at 9 am i believe ....put a post and let me know if i will be in class with any of you all.... well i guess that's it for now. everyone sign on and let me know.:lol2:

Tinknurse2B: Did you only apply to Lee or did you also apply to other colleges? I do not know whether to depend only on Lee to get accepted or have a back up and apply at other colleges.

tinknurse2b: did you only apply to lee or did you also apply to other colleges? i do not know whether to depend only on lee to get accepted or have a back up and apply at other colleges.

:tinkbll:last year i did apply at a couple of other colleges....but this time i only applied at lee and prayed to god that i got in....i kind of knew i had a good chance of getting in because ....i should have been in the last open enrollment but my transcript was not uploaded and i didn't know that ....so therefore it appeared as if i didn't have the classes needed......but in reality i have all my classes plus all my prereqs and academics for bsn...but i was advised by an rn :nurse: friend of mine who is currently doing the rn-bsn bridge that is so much easier since she's already have her assoicates...she attends pv and says the professors teach as if you already know the material  so going that route made it easier....so i decided to do the associates and bridge to the bachelors. :D

having a backup isn't a bad idea....but if you know you're a good candidate then i would just apply at lee...but it never hurts to have a plan b.

I picked all afternoon classes. Tinknurse2B is correct. Try applying to other colleges because it is nice to have a plan B. I only applied to Lee College because it's closer to home. Just keep in mind that all nursing programs right now are extremely competitive to get in. For Lee College I would apply now even if you don't have all the classes.

I actually have all my prereq. for my BSN. The only classes I need are Chem, Pharm, & Spanish Med. I have a 3.5 gpa. I really am interested in Lee college but, I'm just afraid of getting rejected.

:tinkbll:rejection letters come along with applying to different nursing schools...dont let them get you down....dont limit yourself on how many and what schools you're going to apply to.....once you get a acceptance you will forget all about the rejections....that is if you get any rejections.... like tinkerbell33 said the schools are very competitive and it seems as every school have different classes that are needed or should i say one may have an extra one that the other don't have...it's crazy.....that is why i took everything :grad: stat, chem, sociology, 3 english, both histories, both govs, philosopy, you name it....you got to be able to compete. :lol2: just my :twocents:

ok the rest of you guys let me know your schedule.

My letter said that my scheduled would be posted up by June 14! :( still waiting... but of course its the weekend. So hopefully it should be posted by tommorrow! :)

Nevermind! They have posted them :) All morning classes this semester. Is anybody else taking morning classes?

:tinkbll:well so far i guess it's just you and i qt*** or maybe some haven't received their schedules yet....i've been having mine since the 2nd week of june and i knew i would have mornings....that was my first choice..... so i'm excited :lol2: about my am schedule although i'm not a morning person...but for the drive from h town to lee i rather be driving in the morning then at night. for the one's who have a different schedule....maybe we'll meet up in clinicals. :nurse:

Really Tinknurse2B? Yeah I had called the Counseling Center about my schedule and the reason why it had not been posted and they had no idea what I was talking about, and trasferred me to the nursing dept where I learned that the Counseling center was not going to be in charge of scheduling anymore, so a good load of work is on the nursing dept now... so they are pretty busy and aggravated. I am also very EXITED!! I want to start school already lol. Houston all the way to lee wow. Motivation & Dedication right there!! I live a couple of streets down from Lee, but i rather take my classes in the morning so I can have the rest of the afternoon to study :) Well for everbody in this Nursing Program cant wait to meet all of you!

Okay, Ladies I need your advice. I have two choices.

St. Thomas has no entrance exam to their BSN program. But, some of my classes did not transfer (Stat & Phil) & on top of that I have to take 3SCH of Ideology, & I also need to take Pharm, Patho.

Then, I have Lee college. Which I need to take Pharm/Chem/Spanish.

I'm not sure which one to enroll in. They both start in Fall 2012, however, I need to start taking the extra classes this coming semester to even be considered for their nursing program. HELP, PLEASE!!
