How is the job market for LVN in Texas

I just applied to a LVN program in current state residing, RI. There is very few jobs nursing and LVN wise. A lot of jobs for registered nursing requires a BSN. I used to live in Texas love to go back. Seems the job market in healthcare is better then it is in New England. I finish up my LVN license if all goes well by December 2016. Would like to plan to bridge over to my RN then go for a RN to BSN.

Was looking into Tarrant County College, Fort Worth, El Centro College, Navarro College, Corsicana, and Trinity Valley Community College as a bridge program, looking to move to Denton County area.

Was looking into Tarrant County College, Fort Worth, El Centro College, Navarro College, Corsicana, and Trinity Valley Community College as a bridge program, looking to move to Denton County area.
Over the past five to six years, the D/FW area has become overly saturated with more LVNs than can be reasonably absorbed by the local employment market. People from around the country are relocating here.

Several new proprietary LVN programs have opened for business in recent years, which has further glutted the local nursing market.

Admissions to LVN-to-ASN and LVN-to-BSN programs are fiercely competitive. I personally know several LVNs whose applications were rejected in spite of their 4.0 GPAs, letters of recommendation, and fulfillment of requirements.

I would not move here without having completed your LVN schooling and a job already in place with an offer letter, salary statement and firm start date in hand.
