You are most likely eligible to get your California RN licensure endorsed into Texas. Click on the link below to get started on the process of obtaining a Texas license by endorsement. Good luck to you!

Hi I just recently pass my NCLEX-RN at the state of California too. I'm also interested in endorsing to Texas. I already have their application paket needed to be mail at CA BON. Problem is I can't completely fill up the information "to be completed by the applicant" that I must fill up to be sent to California because I don't have my SSN which means I don't know what my license number is etc etc. Am I still eligible to endorse at Texas even without an SSN?

My friend say that was her problem too before and she endorse at Texas too without an SSN but that was 3 years ago. so I'm really confuse. Should I mail the paket to the California BON even if it's not complete and they would fill it up and sent it to Texas BON? Thanks very much

I am in a similar situation. I am a foreign educated nurse, however I have taken and passed the RN in California. I have a California RN License and SocialSec#. Now I need to transfer my license to Texas and get an endorsement. I am confused to wether I need to have a full Credential Evaluation Service(CES) performed from my foreign school , or if I can just do an endorsement from California to Texas. In California they did not require me to get a CES prior to taking the NCLEX, however Texas has confusing rules posted on their site, and I am not able to get a hold of anyone.

    Can anybody help?

you don't need to have the CES. you can just endorse it directly and ask for the verification from california and also pay for the fees required...

i just did this route this year and went successful (january 2010). i was a ca-nclex passer without experience (also foreign graduate), and then endorsed my license to texas.no cgfns or ces required. just apply the application (paper or by online), then pay the application fee $200 to texas bon, and $60 to california bon for verification.. do the fingerprint, and do the jurisprudence exam, and thats it!!

Thanks for the info guys. Once more question, Dibuh did you need to provide verification of license from your home country to Texas?

I am reading Texas BON website and see the following sentence:
" For Internationally Licensed Nurses: If you have a nursing license from a country other than the United States, you must request a verification of licensure from that state, country, province or territory. Verificaiton must come directly from the licensing authority"

Dibuh, did you need to get any additional documents from your home country or did California BON have everything that Texas requires to get endorsed.

yes.. they'll ask for california verification, and also if you have a foreign license, they'll ask for that, too.. like if you're from the philippines, just ask someone to print theverification form from texas bon website, and let someone (friend or relative) to go to PRC (or BON of your country)
