Anyone live or work in Grapevine? How are the hospitals and or rent houses? Thanks.

There's a hospital in the city of Grapevine called Baylor Medical Center at Grapevine (or, "Baylor Grapevine" for short).

Grapevine is a somewhat higher-priced area due to several factors: it's very close proximity to DFW Airport, easy freeway access, and upper-middle class demographic.

then i will be sure to keep nitro sl with me at all times.

seriously- is is a big hassle to commute to work- i live in a city of 100,000 so traffic is nonexistant. i am nervous about the proposed move, but excited as well.:icon_roll

My ex and his wife lived in Grapevine for about 7 years. Both worked at DFW Airport. My kids hated going there - too hot and humid.

Sorry I'm not more helpful . . ..I just always think of sending my kids to Texas when someone mentions Grapevine.

I grew up in GV, and after a few years of wandering the state, have lived here again for the past 7 or so years. So, I guess most of my life.

We do have Baylor Grapevine for our hospital, although I work in Fort Worth. I don't know much about the facility. But I can tell you that this is a cool town to live in. I love it here. It does have an upper demographic, but I have a nice little 2-2 that I can easily afford. Yeah, I could get the same place cheaper in other cities, but I think the little bit more is worth it. My son went to the schools here from 7th grade until he graduated last year, and I was very, very happy with the schools.

If you have any specific questions, I would be more than happy to be the unofficial ambassador for Grapevine.

Grapevine's nice, as others have said. I can't speak for working at BG but as a patient (or family member of one) it's a rather nice hospital. Staff were always courteous and prompt.

I choose to work in Dallas, partly because of my proximity to I 35 and better pay. Lewisville's a bit cheaper than Grapevine, even in the rental house market. Need any info, PM me I'd be glad to provide you with some.

Grapevine is a great area to live in. There is anything you could need within 15 minutes of you. Good sized outlet mall, lots of restaurants, several grocery stores... It has great highway access. The costs in Grapevine are like said above. They are affordable and its the upper middle class mainly. Just to the west is the city of Southlake (15 min from the East side of Grapevine) and its mostly upper class people. They have a great shopping area called Town Square. Just to the South is Euless... Lower middle class. I hope I dont offend anyone.

The little are of Grapevine/Southlake/Colleyville is a great area. Crime is low, traffic isnt bad, and people are nice.

Like everyone else says... if you have more specific questions, let us know. I have lived in Southlake most of my life.

While I don't live in Euless, some others might become offended by the assessment that this city is lower middle class.

Euless has 3 zip codes. I typed all three zip codes into a demographic search engine. The home values were decent for Texas standards, and the average household income exceeded $50,000 in all three Euless zip codes. While Euless is not as classy as Grapevine or as upscale as Southlake, I think it's unfair to call the city "lower middle class."

I live in North Euless...my kids go to the Grapevine/Colleyville School District. I absolutely love where I live. We are in the middle of everything, fantastic schools, close hospitals...and you can work in Dallas or Ft. Worth if you want to. I love the fact that my job is 5 minutes from my house!
