Graduation/ATT/Scheduling NCLEX

U.S.A. Texas

Published

I graduated from nursing school on December 11th. The school said they would submit our names to the BON on the 12th (don't know if they really did this or not). I have already registered and paid Pearson Vue, and the BON. My question is this: How soon should I receive my ATT and how soon should I be able to take my NCLEX. I have a job lined up to start on jan. 19th, but I have to have taken my boards before I can start. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Call Pearson Vue and "Check on your status"

Then call the Texas BON and check your status as well.

We just got my wife ATT from Pearson Vue, and it took a couple of months, but she if Forgien Educated and it seems like the Texas BON dropped the ball a couple times along the way.

Stay persistent on the phone with Pearson and especially Texas BON is my suggestion.

I'm in Ohio and after Pearson and OBN received my paperwork it was about 2 weeks until I received my ATT. I unfortunately have failed 2x. The 1st time I had a job lined up also and life was hectic at the time. I knew I should have rescheduled but I didn't. I did take a refresher course before my 2nd attempt and felt very confident taking the test. I took my time, read and re-read questions and it stopped at 75. I really didn't know what to think and was numb for almost 48 hours until I got the bad news. I feel like my spirit is broken right now. Good Luck to you.
