I have a general question on my pre req's according to Brookhaven I have a 3.07 am I fooling myself :uhoh3: because I have been reading past posts and all of the people who were stressing who had 4.0's. Any suggestions??? I haven't completed the supplemental classes yet plan on finishing those up this fall. Any suggestions at would would be greatly appreciated! :yeah:

Thanks~

Thats all I needed at El Centro too, but im kinda far from El Centro so I just marked that one off of the list. I just needed to complete Micro for TCC. Now Brookhaven, i needed like 4 or 5 other courses in order for me to even be competetive so they told me. Im in Micro now at UTA, I love it my teacher LOVES what she does! It's funny because she just talked to us about the soil and how thats like the microbes natural habitat! I love it already, Its a 8 am class but im always so wide awake in her class! Did yall have to do unknowns?

OMG!! We sure did!! We had an unknown lab and it was so complex!! But fun at the same time!! I honestly will never forget her; she makes quite an impact on her students. And I hear ya with regards to the different pre-reqs at different colleges...It makes you wonder if we'll ever get this done! :)

LOL Im kind of scared about the unknown but what I dont understand ill be in tutoring for lol...Some of the pre reqs uta needs other schools dont take until they are in the program!!! Thats what gets me!!!!

I know!! It's crazy!! I mean, why can't they all require the same pre-reqs?!! It makes no rational sense!

IM WITH YOU!!! I think we should boycott!!! LOL

I know!! Chemistry was one of my pre-reqs at Brookhaven...I don't think too many colleges around the Dallas area require Chemistry?!! That class scared the heck out of me!! I managed to get an A, but only with the help of my final exam...I studied like crazy for it! But if I apply to another college, it more than likely won't be a part of their prerequisites and so then it's all for nothing! That's one of the reasons I want in at Brookhaven!

Do you have both of your anatomys, micro, algebra or chem? Which im sure you do! You could get into Weatherford College now!!!! Those are their pre reqs

Future RN where are you applying to?

im applyin to Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls,TX. hopefully i get in for spring 10 if not then ill be applyin back to MSU as well as TCC and Weatherford

Hey All!

I just decided to apply to Brookhaven last minute! I applied to TCC today and to Weatherford on Friday.

I have a 3.78 GPA and all of my pre req's done for Brookhaven.

I have completed Micro, A&P 2, and Psych as well. I have roughly 5 points as of right now and have to nail the HESI to try and get a total of 25 points. What is a decent amount of points to have? I wish I had some of the other core courses done but unfortunately TCC did not require them so I am just hoping for the best. Any info on Brookhaven would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks guys!!!:wink2:

oh no!! Yah, you need roughly no lower than 27 pts for Mountain view and 30 pts for brookhaven to be on the safe side... I have 26 pts as of now, and I won't chance it! I have a 3.68 GPA overall, but all "A's" in the four pre-reqs, and an 89 on the hesi...( I got 2 B's over the summer taking A & P II in 2 and a half weeks in a minimester at the later part of May, and the following week, i started Micro for Summer I- That dropped my GPA From a 4.0 down to a 3.68) From what I can gather from people who have applied in the past, you need at least a 30 to feel comfortable against the competition. Good luck to you, though, and I hope it works out! Try to get as many core classes done as you can after your first attempt at applying. The second time you apply, they give you 3 additional points to add to your total; so if you had an accumulative points sum of 29, add 3 to equal 31pts. Then, you should get in!

FUTURE RN, Is that all you need for weatherford? 2 A & P's, Chem, and Micro? Is there any other pre-req's needed for Weatherford and where exactly is Weatherford located?
