UTHSC-Memphis BSN

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

University of Tennessee Health Science Center - MEMPHIS (not the UTHSC in Texas) is re-opening up their accelerated BSN program for the upcoming class to enter in the Fall of 2013. Has anyone applied? If so, have you heard anything? I've been accepted into UofM's traditional BSN and I was debating between the two.

I'm in the BSN program and love it. :) Nursing school is a stressful thing already, but these professors really want the best for their students. There are other programs out there that are very cut-throat. It is accelerated and I highly recommend not having a job while in the program. We're almost done with the 1st "semester" and our next 10 weeks are already busy with every day having either a class or clinical. It is hard to fathom that we've learned so much already, but it actually stays with you.

How many students were accepted? Is the program hard to get in?

Hey ladies, I've already applied to the U of M and Baptist but I'm very interested in UTHSC. If you can give any tips for the NursingCas application process/ GPA/ TEAS scores/ and more I'd appreciate it!!!

Does anyone else have any info on the UTHSC program? I'm really interested in applying..

I took and passed the TEAS V exam with a 71.3%. Now I'm off to starting the application process and completing nursingCAS. I hope to get accepted into UTHSC BSN program. U of Memphis LSON is my second choice.

What do you all think about 71.3% on TEAS V, all A's and one B in prereqs? Think it'll get me into the program...?!?!

Hi SherylLT, those scores sound good. I almost applied but that NursingCas. application is TERRIBLE. Have you applied yet?

Does anyone know how many college credits are required to apply to the accelerated rn program?

You need 60 credits by the start of the program

@Kywoodrd

Not yet. I will complete it before the deadline of Jan 15, 2014. This is my preference.

I just submitted my application on NursingCAS. Now on to apply at U of Memphis. I sure hope I receive an acceptance letter.

@ SherylLT I hope you get accepted to either program. I'm scheduled to start AT LSON in January, but I'm still curious about UT. Please share your progress!!! And Happy New Year : )
