Anyone applying for the May 2010 LPN program at Tennessee Technology Knoxville? I took the COMPASS exam this morning and passed with a 59 in math and 86 in reading. Not what I was hoping to get for the points system to get accepted. Does anyone know how many points are normally the cutoff for acceptance or either the number of points you have been accepted with? I just want this sooo bad!

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I was just accepted into their program. I had 60 points. 20 points from my Compass Test, 10 for AP1, 10 for AP2, 10 for Microbiology, & 10 for Medical Terminology. The reading portion of the compass is easy, I made a 98. I made a 96 on Math can it be hard. It was a lot of fractions and basic algebra. Find a non graphing calculator that can do Trig problems because there are a few. At least for me. If you study a little you will do fine. If you are seriously considering gettin your RN. I would highly recommend knocking out AP1 AP2 and Microbiology, especially if you are waiting to get in the LPN program. I hope that helps

I got my letter today for TN Tech in Knoxville and I got accepted. I was wondering if anyone else is starting the May 2010 class.

I do too!!!! I am so excited!!!! I big sigh of relief.

I know you posted this awhile ago did you get in the program.

Hey guys, quick question? I was wondering if you take the Compass test, and score well on it, would that be good enough to get accepted into the LPN program there? Or would it help if I take like a nutrition class?
