Hi all!
Just wondering if there are any hopeful candidates out there for the Southwest Tennessee Community College Nursing Program for Fall 2014?
If so, do you mind sharing your ranking index score with me? Or your NLN? I scored a 132 on the NLN and wanted to retake it to try for a higher score, but was told that my score was "high" for SWTCC so I settled for it. After reading some of the posts on here, though, I now feel as though my score is mediocre, at best.
I've been accepted to Baptist already. I do not want to turn down Baptist's offer waiting on Southwest and then not get accepted into Southwest. That would suck big time. Everything would be delayed & cause me to have to re-apply to both schools another semester. My plan was to go to Southwest then do a bridge program right after. This would save me money as Baptist is expensive. I probably should just go with Baptist since my goal is to eventually obtain a BSN. I'm not too sure about Baptist because their admissions process has changed & I don't know how long I'll be in school since you get in the school first, take some of their classes, then apply to the nursing program & HOPE to get accepted. Chris told me there's no guarantee that you'll be accepted into the program once you've completed the semester of classes they wanted you to take.
Yeah that's what I heard about Baptist too. I've heard it could take one even two years sometimes to just start the nursing program. They want you to take so many of their credits before you can apply. How long do you have to respond to Baptist?
It's really unfair to you all that SW is taking so long. The deadline to accept admission to U of M was back in March so it's a little ridiculous that SW hasn't even notified their applicants yet.
I just called the nursing dept. the secretary said notification at the end of month. She said admissions should notify people of rejections so I called admissions. They asked me if I had received a letter I said no so they gave me the number to call ms W but she is not in today. I'm confused is it email, letter, or call what the crap!
I was told that rejections would be by email and acceptance would be by phone call. Mrs. Weaver told me that. But she also told me that rejection emails had already been sent. Which I am not sure if I believe considering that none of us on this thread has even heard of another applicant receiving one. I called the nursing dept a week or so ago and was told that the rejections were handled by Mrs. Weaver and that she would send letters so I have no idea what is going on. All I know is that it is 9:11 a.m. on 4/21/14 and I still do not know my application status and the last email I received from Mrs. Weaver stated that my file was complete and I would be notified in March.
