PRN rates in Nashville

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

Hello all-

I'm trying to get the most current rates for prn in Nashville area. I can't get HR to call me back at the major facilities and really don't want to take the time to apply to all these places just to find out rates. I know Centennial is $32/hr with night and w/e diff. Does anyone know about St Thomas and ? I have plenty of experience in critical care and trauma and am current on all my ACLS/BLS etc, so would just like to get rates to help me figure out where to apply. TIA!

centennial and st thomas will pay more for PRN than . You work at Vandy just for the name, they pay lower because of it.

Vanderbilt recently changed (March 2014) how they do their per diem/prn rates. (It used to be a lucrative $42/hr plus diff--no more.)

Now you get hired at your base rate based on # of years experience, then add your diffs. For example:

4 yrs experience--~$23/hr +$3/hr for float +$3.50 for nights +$6.00 for weekends

You also accrue PTO time and if you work 36 hours per week you are eligible for benefits. If you're interested go to Work at Vanderbilt | Vanderbilt University and look for "Float Pool." (I am not a recruiter, btw!)

Any of the HCA hospitals (Centennial, etc) will pay the $32 + diff, apply for them via Parallon Workforce Mgmt Solutions. I can't speak for the other hospitals. HTH.
