Average RN pay Clarksville/Nashville

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

I am relocating from Savannah, GA to Clarksville, TN. I have been a RN for a year and a half. What is the average pay for RN, BSNs in the area? Where would be good places to work in the area? Is Nashville better than Clarksville? Thanks in advance :)

I have all the same questions as you, lol. I am considering relocating to TN, I was looking at the knoxville area though. When are you moving? Has it been a pain to get your license endorsed there? I'm at the beginning stages of researching everything. I've heard U of T memorial pays for you to go back to get your BSN which I am an ADN and need to do, and they will help with education for your dependents too so I was excited and intrigued to see that as I have 3 children and as I'm sure we all know now after nursing school any free or discounted education is HUGE. I hear wages are lower there. I am in MI right now. I hear wages are a few dollars/hr less there. I'd love to hear if you've learned anything useful regarding your relocation. Good luck with everything.

Best places to work are in Nashville. The top ones in Nashville are Tristar Centennial, Vanderbilt, St Thomas West, and St Thomas Midtown. I do not recommend the hospital in Clarksville or in Hopkinsville, KY.

TN has a lower cost of living than many other parts of the country. New grads start at around $20/hr. Tristar Centennial is probably the highest paying and Vanderbilt is the lowest. Vanderbilt is a magnet facility and the only level 1 trama in the area. They don't have to pay much because of their reputation. A nurse in Nashville with 3 years experience might make around $25/hr base pay. It really just depends.
