Taking the teas test with a biology degree

Nursing Students TEAS

I have been searching and can't find a board where anyone has taken the teas test but already have a bachelors in biology. I take the test next week and was wondering if anyone has or if anyone has any good advice for me before i take it. Thanks!

It depends what classes you took for your biology degree + how long ago they were. Most (2/3) of the science portion of the TEAS is anatomy and physiology. The rest is chemistry and genetics, really. If you've already had A&P and you remember it, then you should be set. But there's not really a whole lot on the TEAS that you DON'T get from your nursing prereqs, so having a biology degree probably won't give you a leg up if that's what you're thinking. Most of the TEAS other than the science section is stuff you learned (or should've) in high school, so again, not really a leg up there.

edit: for advice: be solid on your A&P and basic (algebra and lower) math skills

ok Thank you! thats what i have been wondering.
