  2. taking mine tomorrow with only a few days of studying, they extended the date at the last min so I figured I'd go for it. I was two classes from taking my NCLEX at OSU-OKC and because life happens I had to relocate to Florida so now I am not only do i have to repeat all the stuff I just learned I have to be put back thru the stress of applying again The HESI I did well on but was right out of prereqs so no biggie now I have to take the TEAs. I have both the mcgraw book and I took the online test to see where i stood, THANK GOD my school doesnt make you take science! but the other sections i did in the 70's thats with two kids fighting in the background, I hope its good enough i just have to pass. I too wanted to know how close the online was to the real one or if it was a good indicator on how i would do.

If you taken the online how much higher or lower did you score?
Boy I am glad I found all these comments. I took the actual TEAS in May and scored 84% overall with no studing at all. I have been studying a little for the last couple of weeks and decided to try online assessmet from ATI I choose form B and I got only 67%. I was like, how could I study and get a lower score than the actual test? The Online assessments are definately harder than the real thing. The math was comparable, the science was more difficult and the reading and language had more trick type questions.I don't really like ATI's explanations of the answers, and I don't understand why the assesments are so expensive.

There were longer passages to read than the actual test. The assessment gives you the correct answers right away, but that of slows you down. Also the practice test does not have a proper count down timer for each separate test, it just shows you the total time taken to complete the entire assessment so that is not useful if you are trying to time yourself for each section. The actul test had say Reading was 58mins, it would count down to 0 then you would run out of time and we were allowed to take breaks during the actual test. You would have a keep a stopwatch and time yourself during the practice because time is totally ignored and in that reguard the practice test is lame, nevertheless it gives a good idea of the topic covered.

Paid tests $39 on the ATI testing website.
  6. I only used the McGraw Hill practice test book and I thought it was pretty close to the actual TEAS. I scored a 96 on the TEAS, and whenever I did the practice tests from the book, I made about the same grade. And it was only $13.
  7. Omg! I just took test A practice test and got a 58%! That's terrible! It was HARD. the science is so BROAD! To me the manual itself couldn't prepare you for it but i dont know.

I totally bombed the science and math. 53% in math and a 33% in science. My program wants a 58.7% to get in. And I take it Monday! I'm in such shock that it was so hard! Lol I'm panicking now! I was confident too! Lol

    Don't panic!!!
I scored ALOT lower on the practice tests than I scored on my TEAS. I was scoring 60% on the practice tests and I got a 80.7% the next day on the TEAS. It seems like the online tests are MUCH MUCH harder than the actual test.

    Keep your confidence up!!

Believe me when I tell u. It's easier than u think. The TEAS study guide had me second guessing myself because of the scores I got on the practice. Somehow when I sat at the computer on test day, I applied myself more. Ended up with a very great score considering I'm 36 and had not performed at that basic level for quite some time.

The science on the TEAS V study material will def scare you. Give it no thought. Concentrate your efforts in the areas u excel. Also use YouTube to watch videos of concepts. That's where I relearned MOST of how to convert percents, decimal, fractions, ratios, probability, order of operations, etc.

Whatever the book told me I had to know, I was watching a video! I would focus only on those over 95% approval by at least a couple thousand people.
