... then will the actual anesthesia program be less than full time? I am considering a few programs that are full until about 3 years from now. You get accepted for that start date but can take the "core" courses ahead of time on a part time basis which they reccommend. for those that have done that, did that make the anesthesia program, at least for a semester or two, less than "full" time? Thanks.

Actually the program is so incredibly overloaded that taking all the core courses that you can prior to the program only allows you to be a more traditional full time vs. the CRNA program version of full time. Realize that the average masters program for other degrees is 30-40 hours and the CRNA masters program at my school is 88 hours.

Since clinicals are your main focus in your last year, its hard to maintain fulltime status (9 hrs). But some programs offer 'independent study' credits where you can at least be over halftime and your student loans can remain in deferment. Check with your program to see if this is an option.

I would take any class you can before school starts. I was only able to take 2 before and I am hating it now.
Good luck
