Crna program that accepts regionally accredited schools

hi guys, i'll be doing my rn-bsn online at chamberlain, and wanted to know, are there any schools out there, crna programs, that accept your bsn from a regionally accredited school? or a state accredited school? chamberlain is actually both nlnac and ccne accredited, but i was curious as to know if there is a school as such out there that accepts your bsn from a regionally accredited school. Or a school that accepts you into their rn-bsn program if you have a regionally accredited adn or state accredited.

Regional accreditation is the Gold standard, all nurse anesthesia programs will accept a BSN from a regionally accredited school. Regional accreditation is granted by the Higher Learning Commission.

i thought the school had to be nln/nlnac accredited? btw is nln the same as nlnac?

have u heard of hondros college school of nursing? and do you know if crna schools would better like a bsn from chamberlain or indiana wesleyan?

Regional is the highest standard. If you have national then you need to worry.

Okay, let me re word this, chamberlain has articulation agreements with hondros college school of nursing, and hondros is actually working on getting its accreditation from nlnac. currently they are nationally accredited. Chamberlain accepts their credits and chamberlain is a ccne and nlnac accredited school. So if i get my bsn from there, would i have any trouble applying to crna schools?

From where, Chamberlain or Hondros? The thing to check out is Are they regionally accreditated? CCNE and NLNAC are the 2 nursing speciality accrediting bodies, they evaluate the nursing program specifically. Regional accreditation is an evaluation of the entire instituition from the degree BS in English to the Law School and national accreditation is not the same. I'd be surprised that a nursing school would be accredited by both CCNE and NLNAC, but I guess it's possible. Check to see if the instituion is regionally accredted, if not I'd be cautious. One catch 22 is an institution can't become regionally accredited until they graduate some students. Seems odd, but that's the way it is.

Chamberlain is actually both Nlnac and ccne accredited it says so on the website. I'll b going to hondros for my adn (nationally accredited working on getting nlnac) and then going to get my bsn at chamberlain (nlnac and ccne accredited). What do you think?

I was curious about this, so I checked out the website. Chamberlain is the name that DeVry is using for nursing programs that they have acquired in several states. Some of their nursing program locations are NLNAC accredited and some are CCNE due to the fact that they were preexisting. Chamberlain is regionally accredited by the North Central Association of the Higher Learning Comissions-NCAHLC. Credits from a Chamberlain degree would transfer to any nurse anesthesia program. Hondros is not regionally accredited, it is accredited by something called Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges. Credits from Hondros may not be accepted at many of the universities which house nurse anesthesia programs. It would be risky to attend Hondros IMO if you want to obtain any type of graduate degree in the future.

I thought that the only thing that mattered was the accredited bsn degree? to get you into the school?
