Univ South Alabama is what we are talking about, correct? Yes I applied to their FNP MSN program Spring 2017. What was your GPA (PM if prefer)? Have you heard when we might get an answer? I cannot get anyone to answer my emails.

I would love to hear feedback from DNP students from USA. I'm trying to decide between UM-Flint and USA for the DNP. I was leaning towards UM-Flint because it's local (about an hour away). However, USA would be 4 years total instead of 5 years. I'm trying to do dual FNP/ACNP so I can work in our hospital's ER.

I have applied to the FNP Spring 17 program. It seems like it is going to take forever! I have been accepted into another online school, but I am awaiting USA's response before committing. Wonder what the story is with provisional acceptance or wait list????

I have also applied for Spring 17. But I thought the program was 3 years full time not 4 years???

@TokyoD_RN, the DNP dual FNP/AG-ACNP is 4 years. If you're just doing FNP or ACNP, then it's 3.

I was going to do provisional for Spring 2017, but I've now opted to wait for Fall 2017. I won't have my BSN until December and I want to make sure I have everything lined up that's needed for the NursingCAS, instead of trying to go the provisional route. I'm doing the Dual DNP FNP/AG-ACNP program.

I've been getting very prompt responses to my questions from the dual DNP advisor. I noticed the other programs have a different advisor. Maybe they're on vacation?

I think provisional acceptance is for those who don't quite meet the 3.0 requirement, not so much for those who are working on their BSN. That was just my interpretation.

I was told if I apply before I've completed the BSN, I would be accepted as provisional and would have to provide proof of degree conferred by the time classes start in January. I'm graduating December 16th and I'm worried with how long it takes to process paperwork that I wouldn't get it done in time. When I finished my ADN in May, it took my school months to process the paperwork saying the degree was earned. I needed it to start at the hospital and had to delay my start date from July 13th to July 27th because of it. That's making me wary of cutting it too close with completing the BSN and starting at USA. I know that means I'll have to wait until Fall 2017, but it sure would alleviate a lot of stress!
