Any current or past students for the practitioner programs at either college? I am thinking of applying but what to know what people actually think of the program and quality. The only advantage that makes me want to think USF right now is the fact that they don't care for the GRE.

Opinions and thoughts welcomed and appreciated!

You should take a look at UT also. They don't require the GRE, and they have a very well respected program. It's a great school!

Hey Armanix, I'm kind of in the same predicament as you were. Curious as to What path you chose. Did you get to find anything out about it? Thanks

Does anyone have any new info on this?

I am currently attending Usf but also took the GRE because intended to apply to UCF also. I have friends that are in UCFs Fnp program also. Do not pick a school just because of lack of GRE. That's a poor excuse. You should take GRE would be my opinion. Not saying everyone should do amazing but if you can not score decent aka 50% tile then you probably won't make it through program regardless. NP grades taken at a public University unlike these degree mills are hard and not for someone to make a decision based on lack of a simple math and English test. With that said I very much enjoy Usf so far, teachers are helpful and am learning a lot.

Do u live in the tampa area? How often do u have to attend classes?

No I don't not live in the Tampa area. I live about an hour and forty mins away from the school actually. First semester or two can be online, then turns into once a week going to class, then twice a week.

What do u feel like makes up the majority of ur grades.. Tests? Presentations? Papers?

I live in orlando and got into both ucf and usf. I hear better things about usfs program but i am worried about the drive. Ucf would be closer but i also have family in tampa if i needed to stay the night. Now that ur in the program are u happy u stayed with usf ? Having a hard time deciding.

Yes, still very happy with decision. Grade is made up of tests majority in some classes, and papers in others. The ride will suck, but worth it in my eyes. Clinicals the school tries to place near your residence. Either I'm sure you will be happy with.

Obviously my opinion will be bias, as I graduated from Ucf for bachelors and my brother will be going to Usf for pharmacy this Aug , but like I said both are good schools.
