Greetings! I wanted to start a feed for UAB NP Summer 2018 hopefuls! I know the deadline hasn't arrived yet--but I know this anticipation is killing me. I figured this may be a nice way for us to stay updated/connected. We are not alone in this process!! Anyone have any news or insight into the time frame of when we should hear back acceptance status or if they do interviews?

I should exempt the GRE also. You should definitely get in. Two of my coworkers are in their programs. One is in UAB AGACNP Program 1st semester and the other just got accepted to USAs dual program starting this fall. I think they both had 3.4 3.5 gpas. UAB is my 1st choice also. I am applying to USA as well and Alabama Huntsville

Same here ! I tried to apply to Georgia Southwestern but am confused about the application process. I submitted my general application and paid the fee but I don't see where I can submit the supplemental materials. I had the same problem with the USA Supplemental application. Why do they have to make it to confusing?!

I submitted my application on Sunday for the Dual Primary and Acute Care Pediatric program. I am also applying to USA has a back up plan but haven't finished that application yet. Waiting until December may kill me...

I feel that USA's application process is way to complicated. The transcript entry alone was terrible!

I agree!! I was looking at their application last night, and I chose not to apply based solely on the transcript entry. Feels like "double charting" to me. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Kind of update? I called today to update my application to include a second choice track (I only applied for FNP initially, and now I'm waffling on what I want to do). She said she would update my application to reflect that - which indicates to me that they do NOT process applications as they come in, since mine was submitted about a month ago. I would think if it's already been reviewed, I wouldn't be able to make changes. I bet they will begin reviewing them after the deadline next week. Good luck to all! The wait is getting shorter haha.

I applied for the Acute Care NP program for the 2nd time. I have 9 years of ER experience but my GPA wasn't high enough the last time I applied I took the GRE but that still didn't help. I have y fingers crossed this time did the trick.

Good luck to everyone. I'm still waiting on a transcript that I've paid for 4 times and UAB still hasn't received it!!! I'm growing stress grey hairs as we speak

I applied to the UABs FNP program, as well as USA FNP program, so fingers crossed! haha. Come on December! I have 2 years ICU experience, along with 1 year clinical instructor for med surg (I love to work, and not have a social life apparently), GPA is high enough to wave the GRE, but it's nothing competitive. I've seen on previous threads, UAB does factor in GPA (obviously), but really concentrates on recommendations, and essay, so I hope that's the case! Good luck to everyone! :)
