Are there any current FNP students at South University? I am considering applying there but need to get more information regarding the classes, faculty and financial aid ... would love to hear some opinions!Appreciated your response
Mine went quite smoothly. As a matter of fact, I still stay in touch with mine a year later! I don't remember exactly, but I think I got a telephone call or an email to set up a telephone conference. She basically answered my questions, asked when I was ready to start, then sent me all the information I needed to get started. Because I was going into the NP program, she also gave me the information required initially along with the contact of the clinical coordinator. I had wanted to start earlier, but wound up having to wait until the end of March to start classes.
Hey Ihflanurse ,finally I start my application and need more documents to send. My advisor told me that I can start (FNP) on February .I'm planning to apply for financial aid. Are you applying for ANP or FNP?
All graduate classes "bury" students with papers. I have heard this from traditional and online students alike. I can say depending on the class, you are required to post 1 - 2 discussion forums per week and respond to at least 2 of your peer's posting in all the forums, and 1 or 2 papers per week. Most weekly papers are only 2-4 pages. Some require 1 final paper, max of 15 pages. Some of the classes with weekly papers become part of the final paper so as you turn them in and get your feedback, you make your corrections to the final paper. There was one "group project" class. Hope this helps.
