So bummed about Grad School Choice

Nursing Students NP Students

Hey folks, I was wondering if anyone has gone to Eastern Kentucky University and what your experience has been with their graduate school. I currently go to Montana State University and absolutely regret my decision. I got into Duke but chose MSU for their post MSN-DNP program and I live in Montana. They last minute decided not to transfer any of my classes, lied and said they had clinical contracts in my town (they don't), they have horrible communication, and the classes are poorly structured. I wrote an email to my professor a week ago and I still haven't heard from her. Another class has 3 instructors and I haven't heard from anyone about an email I sent 3 days ago. It's so stressful and I feel absolutely horrible for my one year old who I've been neglecting trying to navigate this frustrating program.

I'm curious if anyone has had experience with EKU's post MSN FNP program and what their application process looks like. Did they transfer all of your graduate courses? What did your previous GPA look like and what is your previous RN experience? I would basically be putting all of my eggs in their basket and then I'd have to wait out Spring semester to start in Fall 2018. I would only graduate a semester earlier than my current program and obviously would get a certificate and not a DNP, but I wouldn't have to do a DNP scholarly project, and one class at a time would mean I'm home more for my husband and son.

Any thoughts or information would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

Anyone??
