I am in the same boat...seeing these program prices is intimidating. I agree with other responses that the prices of all programs is going up. Is the program you are talking about a DNP program because if it is then i can see paying that much knowing i do not have to go back to further my degree. Also think of travel time to the program for campus visits, length of the prgram, books/fees/supplies, travel time to clinical. I know there are a few "more cost effective " NP programs out there but I think you are just going to have to crunch the numbers because those programs may not be that much cheaper after you factor in the extras.
