Internship vs Clinical

My final 16 weeks of NP school consists of a 360 hour internship. I have requested more information from the school about requirements but have not heard back yet. Does anyone know if there is a difference between clinicals and this "internship"? I am wondering if they are wanting us to obtain an actual internship, or if this is just what they are calling it since it require so many hours.

Is that all the clinical time you will have? My program had over 520 hours of clinical time. I would ask for clarification if I were you.

Hahaha, no!!! We have 670 total hours. The hours above are the very end of the program. They call it an internship as these hours are to give the student more independence.

I have heard the last semester of clinicals called multiple things such as capstone (mostly undergrad, but I've heard it), clinical practicum, internship, etc. It is probably just your school's terminology. It is likely just an additional, longer clinical meant to give you more autonomy before graduation and hopefully get a job offer. My last semester's rotation will be accompanied by fewer course hours so we can focus on the clinical and easing into the role.
