I got a place at UCONN to do the acute care track (adult/geri). Anyone else got a place? There were only 15 places available so I'm psyched that they accepted me.

Congrats!! I haven't applied there. I'm preparing to apply to programs. Did you apply to any others? I'm looking at WCSU and St Joes as well as online. Good luck. I hear it's very rigorous.

Congrats Rocknurse!!! I have applied too to UCONN for the acnp track but i'm still waiting for an answer...Now i'm getting nervous! How was the phone interview? I will have mine this week...

I applied pretty early to the ACNP program--back in Nov, I think--and found out I was accepted in Feb. sometime. The phone interview was pretty straight-forward. The program director asked me about my experience, reason for wanting the ACNP v. other specialties, and asked me about choosing the MSN over the BS-DNP. I cannot remember much else. It couldn't have been more than a 10 minute interview. Good luck!

I'm wondering if those of you applying have been part of the CEIN program at UCONN. It used to be the MEIN (master's entry into nursing), and still has some master's level coursework in it. It's an accelerated BSN program, and seems like it's designed to be a "feeder" into UCONN's APRN or DNP programs, but I can't tell how many participants go on to advanced coursework at UCONN or if it really offers an advantage over other applicants. Does anyone have direct experience with this transition?

I applied to the ACNP for 2015... I appled late and they still accepted my application and told me to schedule either a phone or in person interview! I'm so nervous/excited! Any other advice or questions you can think of from your interview would be great! Also since you have been accepted how do you like the program?

Sorry...only just saw your reply. My first year has been great. Maintained an A average throughout. It's been a lot of work with some sacrifices but knowing I have summer and Christmas vacations to break it up make it more manageable. I can't believe the first year is done already!
