  1. No problem! I actually found out a couple weeks ago that I got accepted!
  2. I just found out that I got in!!
  3. I was told I would hear by the end of March but I haven't heard yet and I'm on vaca this week so I'm guessing I won't hear until I get back... How about you??
  4. I had my interview yesterday! I think it went well but who knows! Only 16 spots for the MSN program :/ I will find out at the end of March! Good luck!
  5. I applied for the adult/gero acute care MSN program! Stpollard how did your interview go?
  6. Let me know how your interview goes! I haven't scheduled mine yet.
  7. I applied to the ACNP for 2015... I appled late and they still accepted my application and told me to schedule either a phone or in person interview! I'm so nervous/excited! Any other advice or questions you can think of from your interview would be great! Also since you have been accepted how do you like the program?
  8. I applied for the adult/gero MSN program passed the deadline and found out that I got an interview! I don't know much about their DNP program.. Have you heard?
  9. I ended up applying passed the deadline and I just found out that I got an interview. Have you heard from them?
  10. I am in the same situation. I've worked in the OR for 2 years and actually thought I wanted to be a CRNA since I love the OR, I wanted to further my education but stay in the setting I love. So I transferred to an ICU step-down floor for about 5 months and hated it. I ended up going back to the OR. I'm researched my options now and hoping I can go to APRN school and get a job in surgery. I am definitely keeping my options open at this point. I hope everything works out for you!
  11. I did not apply to UCONN's program because I think I missed the deadline. However I am looking into Quinnipiac. Have you looked/applied to their MSN program?
  12. Thank you for the responses! The requirement for recommendations is this : Two letters of recommendation from persons with authority to evaluate your professional ability.
  13. Hi everyone, I am starting to apply to APRN school and I'm wondering who you think it is best to get reference letters from. I only need two and I have good rapport with the nurse director of surgical services also my manager and my clinical advisor(charge nurse). Who do you think would be best to ask??? Thanks for your help!!
  14. I work on an ICU step down and we do vitals q2 and assessments q4 and we have 3 patients I cant imagine doing all of that on 5!
  15. Army twin, I'm also in your situation, I've worked in the OR with no floor experience until September when I transferred to an ICU step down floor at my hospital. It's terrifying but I'm learning a ton in hopes of getting ICU experience and going to CRNA school. When I met with the ICU nurse manager her advice was a tele floor but definitely not the ED.. I think you will see and learn a lot on a tele floor. Good luck!
