*HELP* with personal statement!

I am trying to write my personal statement for acceptance into NP school. My question is do I include my prior 13 years of experience in physical therapy that ultimately led me into nursing? I am really stumped on what to write!

Did the school give you any guidelines to follow? If your experience in PT led you to nursing, I'd say it's valid! Why did it lead you to nursing? Did you have any interactions that you can mention? And now that you're in nursing, what makes you want to take the nest step? What skills did you perfect in PT that translate into advanced practice?

So, I guess it would be pertinent now, after typing those out I can see it!

I tried to make my come from the heart and tell my story so they could understand why I would be passionate and committed to completing my program. They also had a set of guidelines or questions they wanted me to answer, and I made sure I answered all of those questions, but I had to go through several drafts before I felt it told my story within their constraints and with the passion and clarity I wanted.

I'm not sure if that really helps you, because I don't know your story well enough to see what you should and shouldn't include. These really are a personal project that take more than just one sitting to complete well. At least mine did.
