Hi Everyone!

I am currently looking at schools for my nurse practitioner and was wondering if anyone has had experience with the mostly online format for these schools or in particular Georgetown University?

Thanks!

I haven't applied to anywhere yet - I'm still working through my first year of experience. But I'm really interested in Duquesne because it's online. I would have loved U-Pitt, especially since I work for UPMC, but it would be a horrible commute for me (I'm about 1.5 hours away from Pittsburgh), and I'm not in a position where I can move. I prefer Duquesne over Clarion, but I'll probably apply to Clarion as well once I'm ready to start applying :) Good luck with Duquesne!

What appeals to you about Duquesne? I was leaning toward Clarion probably because it was cheap. I work for UPMC in pittsburgh and Duquesne offers a 30% tuition discount for UPMC health system employees. Additionally, UPMC offers up to $5000 per year for tuition (no fees) reimbursement.

Oh I didn't even know Duquesne offered a 30% tuition discount to UPMC employees! I like the way their online program is run. And it's a reputable school. I also prefer private schools to state schools. I have a BS in biology from a private college and I got my BSN at a state school. I also did coursework with one other state school and one other private, and just found I had all around better experience with private institutions.
