ANCC AG-ACNP Exam

I took my ANCC exam (AG-ACNP) today and failed. I took the Barkley review and felt confident going into the exam. Is there anyone that can help me? My lowest scores were in Professional Roles and Independent Practice. I have bought several practice tests but none really go over professional roles. Please help!!!!!

My condolences for not passing, it was a difficult test. I used Barkley's book and CD's exclusively to study for it back in '13 and that was really all I did for about a month or perhaps a bit longer. Did you have any overwhelming anxiety before/during the test? I cannot recall more than 5 questions over the subject matter that you scored lowest on. Perhaps going back and reviewing your notes from your roles class would help. Good luck on the retest!!!!

Severe anxiety to the point where I could not stop shaking. I can recite Barkley in my sleep. I also took practice questions. I was able to explain why the wrong answers were wrong.

I have 3 X-rays, 2 images of a patient, 2 EKG's. I had a host on leadership and roles. I wish there were more practice questions on professional roles.

For the anxiety you might consider a short term script for Adderall so you can get through the test. I too had the xrays and ekg's on my test. Another crazy question I had was on Rocky Mountain spotted fever...no clue where that one came from. Have you checked for any resources on Half.com or Amazon? You might also look at some of the other books out there, even though we aren't FNP's I would check "Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Intensive Review: Fast Facts and Practice Questions by Maria T. Codina Leik (2013) for more questions and review on "Roles" you might be surprised

I also had a picture of a tick and patient with suspected Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. That one blew me for a loop. I have Leik's adult gerontology book as well as her app that has questions. There were 32 questions on professional role which were quite easy. A few of them I stumbled on. They are nothing like the ACNN examí ½í¸©

I have just started studying for the AGACNP, and I spoke to two other NP with same credentials. My current preceptor with AGACNP-BC said she just studied Barkley review and CD's mainly. She passed a year ago. This is an older s-mail, but I was also considering Barkleys live review. You might also maybe able to speak directly to someone there for further guidance.

Wish you the best!

I recently failed the ANCC ACNP-AG exam and I am going to take it again in September. Could anyone please help? I see that people are talking about the Barkley review. Are you referring to this? AGACNP Home Study

Also, I find the test outline very confusing. Can anyone help with the test outline and/or reviewing the material?

Thank you very much.
