I am currently writing a paper on how the seven principles of design can be incorporated into what we do as school nurses. Anyone with experience writing such a paper. My brain is just fizzled with this one. Not that I don't understand it but this is learning process idea and I'm having trouble separating the classroom from the clinic. Any ideas? TIA!

Not sure what you mean. Do you mean, how would the architectural concept of universal design work in a classroom?
Have you tried contacting someone from NARI? They are the experts in this!
Or is principles of designing something else entirely?

It is a "learning" tool that teachers use in the classroom. It is a newer concept. One so new that they can't even report statistical benefits. The paper I am supposed to write is to incorporate the principles into something I would do in school nursing. The principles are things like equitable use (like should be accessible regardless of disability), flexibility in use, perceptible information (multisensory). I can totally understand the principles but it, for some reason, is tripping me up when trying to link it to something I do on the clinic. I wanted to link it to Hearing/Vision screening but I just don't know.

Is there a special ed teacher you could brainstorm with? Does your college have an education school with a course sequence on this?
Most activities or visual aids or games that a disabled child could enjoy are also accessible to able-bodied children. Hmmmm. Interesting question.
