Hey guys-

Kindof a silly question but I can't help but wonder:

.....How many students applied for the fall semester and how many were accepted?

I know it doesn't matter because I made it in, but....I am curious.

Chris...maybe you have some info on this??

THANKS!!

Aww thanks Lauren. You knew that I'd respond to this once I saw it. I'm not positive about how many people applied to the program (I was told that it was at least 200 people) and approximately 90 people were accepted. The whole department is very hush hush about the numbers (even though they shouldn't be since its a public college) so getting definite number isn't easy but that's what I've been told. BTW Lauren what day are you taking the TEAS test? I was originally set up for Thurs. I think but I think I switched it to the Tues. because some of my friends who got in the program said they would be going Tuesday. I was just trying to remember off hand what day you said you were going.

BTW, do you know of any other males who were accepted? PM me with any names. I'm hoping there are at least a couple of guys....being in NS with all women will drive me nuts!!:chuckle

I know I am a pre-nursing student but I plan to take mine in january

Hey Tessa

You're taking the TEAS in Jan? Does CCRI require that before admission or are you just getting it out of the way??

I'm sorry I honestly don't know who the other guys who have gotten in yet. I sent a Facebook message to my friend Mike a few months back to see if he got in but he never sent one back so I honestly don't know. Sorry :(

Yes They require that you take it before admission. I believe you just need to score 40% on the Reading, Math and grammar. I was thinking that it would be better taking it after Anatomy and Dosage. I brought that TEAS practice book ...... everything look fine ... but the science stuff I think I learned that stuff in HS donkey years ago dont remember it .... anyway have all summer to practice, practice practice:zzzzz

I am thinking of submitting an application for the Spring (09) at RIC, can someone tell me all they know about the Chem requirements? I'm not sure I'd be able to get them done before I needed to send in the application...

I'm an alternate for the Fall at CCRI... so I'm still waiting for them to CALL ME... but I think it's time to explore other options! OH THE FRUSTRATION. I'm off to do some deep breathing. How's everybody else doing?! I wish you all LESS stress...

Erica

Wow .... I hope they call you soon.... that back up plan is good.... RIChttp://www.ric.edu/academics/

wow...I see what your saying is that 3 chemistry courses? or is that 1 chemistry course? probably workable if you apply for Fall 09 instead.... I dont know...I havent been in church in forever....but I'll pray for you Erica.

Haha! Thank you Tessa-- that's good news that it's ONE class. I definitely thought it was THREE of them. I wonder what the math/other requirements are like to take that one class. I emailed someone in admissions the other night, but maybe I'll try calling someone at RIC today because I haven't heard back from the e-mail.
