Re: New Grad RN.........Rehab SUPERVISOR???? Very risky for you. Do you
want to work for an organization that thinks it's a good idea to have new grads running the show? And you can't really believe what many potential employers tell you about what a great, thorough orientation you'll receive and how they
aren't going to "throw you to the wolves." Any organization that would hire new grads to be supervisors obviously has v. low standards (or
extreme difficulty keeping staff, also a v. bad sign ...) and/or just doesn't care about the outcome.
I'm guessing the reason your family thinks this is "a good opportunity" is because they don't really know anything first-hand about healthcare -- right? I doubt too many
experienced nurses (or people with
any kind of healthcare experience) are going to come along here and tell you starting out in a supervisory position is a good idea.
Best wishes for your journey --
