Hello everyone! I have a job interview in a little over an hour for a rehabilitation floor at the local hospital I currently work at! I have worked medical floor for almost a year and a half as an LPN and just received my RN license in June and have been waiting for jobs to open up forever, therefore the competition will be tough!!! :( Wish me luck!!!!!!!

Well happylush, by now you've probably had your interview. Just wondering how it went. I wish you well. I know interviews can be stressful, epecially if it's a position you really want. Good luck and update us so we know if it's good news .

Thanks! The interview was tough, but I remain somewhat confident. I have a dilemma though.. for 3 months I had been waiting for an RN position to open up, nothing available... now all the sudden they are calling me for quite a few of them. I have always been interested in the surgical floor, and I had received a call and an interview for a competing hospital in my area yesterday, and was quite impressed. Well, also yesterday when I was at work I received a call for an interview for the medical floor where I am currently working, and that interview is scheduled for friday! I dont know WHAT to do!!! It would be hard to start ALL over again at a new place, but the challenges there could be great for my expeience, at the same time i feel kind of scared about it... the rehab position could be nice, but I dont know if it is something I could do long term... and I like the floor I am currently working on because I get along well with mostly everyone but the job itself is very stressful as an LPN and know and see what the RN's go through every day and don't think that would be for me! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I need advice! HEHE Both places so far said they would let me know by the end of the week......... I really dont know what is the right thing to do, and where my mind/heart is telling me to go. I feel somewhat torn! Any advice would be appreciated!

sometimes we have to jump in and start swimming...only you can make that decision..personally i liked rehab but being well rounded and it helps for you to have experience in differant areas..

DON'T YOU JUST HATE INTERVIEWS

Well I leave for my last scheduled interview in about 15 minutes.... I am supposed to hear from the other two places by today.... I am getting nervous because at the end of the day I could POSSIBLY have an RN job!!!! I am just afraid of making the wrong decision...... I want something I am going to love, even if it means stress and hard work... I want experience, ya know? Being that I have worked on the medical floor for almost a year and a half, even though it was as an lpn, I feel like I want to broaden my horizon and try something new and different... I dunno..... Anyhow, wish me luck!
