What is the acceptance rate of this progam?

Do people accepted get to live on campus at Regis, or is this a commuter program?

What did students like / dislike about the program?

You might want to ask your questions in the Massachusetts forum, or maybe one of the admin can move this topic :)

I think the acceptance rate is around 20%. It's fairly difficult to get into this program and it's fairly difficult to get through it. I'm proud to say that I'm a graduate of the program though, and it does prepare you extremely well for a nursing career. Unfortunately, it's not a BSN program, and if you live in Massachusetts, you're going to have a hard time finding a job as an RN without a BSN. And no, a BS in another field doesn't count!

The program is a commuter program. Prereq classes are at Regis College in Weston (which is a typical college campus). All the nursing classes in the ASN program are at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. There are no dorms.

Things I liked: quality of instruction, clinical placements, I feel like I learned not only how to pass NCLEX but how to be a great nurse. Most everyone I graduated with found a job of some sort after graduation (very few work in acute care though). It's flexible and allows you to take classes in the evenings/weekends (which is what I did...they also offer a day program).

Things I didn't like: like I said, it's an ASN program. The job market is very tough and you need to have a plan in place to get your BSN directly after this program. It's also expensive considering that you don't get a BSN.

Check out this website, very informative. Definitely go to an info session! Lawrence Memorial/Regis College Nursing Program
